Sportec Boxster SP 370

Pure Dynamics

Sportec accessories for the new Boxster and Boxster S

The new Porsche Boxster (987) is a real sports car whose virtues remind of the legendary Porsche 356 Speedster. Motor vehicle manufacturer Sportec has developed a comprehensive programme of accessories for the Boxster and Boxster S enhancing the two-seater’s dynamic elements in an unobtrusive fashion.

The Swiss manufacturer created aerodynamics components which provide the Boxster with a sporty and elegant appearance. A front apron and a rear spoiler optimise the downforce and stress the roadster’s sporty aspect.

Sportec’s 8.5 x 19“ and 10 x 19“ light metal wheels Mono10-Light round the dynamic design out. Toyo Proxes T-1R (235 and 275) tyres keep to the road surface in a convenient and sporty manner.

Once more, the Boxster SP 370’s driving dynamics could be refined as well. The 30 millimetre lowering by means of special Sportec coil springs and modified stabilisers at the front and rear axle provide for the motor sports feeling – without cutting down on long haul qualities.

The cream of the crop coming from the development department is situated between the Boxster’s two axles. A 3.8L complete engine based on the 997 Carrera S and combined with modified electronics, an altered intake-air passage and a sports exhaust system with optimised aerodynamics guarantee a peak power of altogether 370 HP.

A sports clutch masters these power requirements in the long run and transmits the power surely to the rear wheels. Therefore, the airy two-seater sprints to 100 km/h in less than 4.6 seconds required. Only 15,6 seconds later, the sports car passes the 200 km/h mark. The propulsion not cease before 286 km/h.

In order to bridle such an amount of power, Sportec offers a specially attuned 6-piston sports brake with 350 millimetre steel discs for the front axle and 320 millimetres for the rear axle. large brake’s convenience is highly convincing on the road, and such are the deceleration values on a fenced off racetrack.
